At MATSUS SPRING 2026 in Barcelona, the PeroVscale consortium presented its first research results on Sn-Pb perovskite solar cells. The conference took place from March 23 to 27, 2026, and focused on advances in materials for sustainable development.
The contribution, entitled “Enhanced Stability of Sn-Pb-Based Solar Cells with a Terthiophene-Based Diamine Salt,” demonstrated that the thiophene-based additive 3ThDMA can significantly enhance device performance and operational stability of mixed lead-tin perovskite solar cells. The study reports efficiencies of up to 19.2%, along with improved photovoltage and superior room-temperature and thermal stability of the thiophene additive-based solar cells compared with standard EDAI2-passivated devices.
